coming up and it isn’t a brand you’ll find at the home improvement store.  It’s the R.H. Peterson company, the manufacturer of Fire Magic, AOG (American Outdoor Grill), Real Fyre, and American Fyre Designs.

Based in California R.H. Peterson manufacturers incredibly well-built grills as well as gas fire inserts and logs.  The products they build are specifically designed for outdoor kitchen islands and they have years of experience in building the right components for outdoor kitchens.

Their four distinct product lines offer a wide variety of the components you’ll want for your outdoor kitchen.

Watch an overview

1. Fire Magic

Fire Magic is their most recognizable brand and specializes in high-end grills and outdoor kitchen accessories like side burners, searing stations, refrigeration, beverage stations, doors, drawers, and sinks.

2. AOG – American Outdoor Grill

AOG specializes in high-end grills from 24″ to 36″.  They’ve innovated design and function with the new “L” series adding a batteryless ignition system and side halogen lights for night grilling.  They also have a line of doors and drawers as well as two prefab outdoor kitchen islands.

3. American Fyre Designs & Real Fyre Gas Logs

Both of these brands focus on gas fire solutions for both outside and inside. American Fyre Designs has a variety of solutions around fire components for outdoor kitchens.  Pretty specific stuff!  From tables to campfire inserts to fire falls you’ll find products that will warm up your outdoor kitchen island.  Their Real Fyre Gas Logs are handcrafted to look like real logs plus they omit heat even and consistently.  They also make the more modern looking fire glass.

While there are certainly other high-end grill manufacturers that make great products for outdoor kitchens such as Linx, Blaze, and DCS my experience with R.H. Peterson stood out because together outdoor-kitchen-componentswith my contractor we were able to order all of my desired components from one distributor rather than piece mail.

The component options available can be overwhelming so it’s wise to think about what you want and what you want to spend and widdle it down from there.  The R.H. Peterson buying guides and catalog’s made the decision process easier.

So have a ball choosing all of the goodies that go into your outdoor kitchen and make sure to visit the R.H. Peterson group as you research your components.
